I’ve seen this video, Hope in Front of Me by Danny Gokey, before but for some reason it touched me in a new way when I watched it just now. Hope has carried me through some junk. Hope continues to carry me through some junk. I’m a firm believer in hope. Hope has kept me alive. Hope has kept me fighting. I could not survive without hope. None of us can.
But what I realized when I just watched this music video is that, even though I don’t have it all together, I want to find hope together with you. I want to be the girl driving the car. Figuratively speaking, I want to be that brave girl who did her hard thing and started her journey and picked up other brave souls along the way. I want us to be together. I want us to hold up our signs of brokenness and cheer each other on.
Can I pick you up? Will you come with me? Can we find hope together? I’m not really sure where we’ll end up but it’d be nice to end up there together.
BTW… His whole album is fabulously full of hope and encouragement. You should get it. Hope In Front of Me
Whoa. Love the song but had never seen the video before. What a beautiful representation of the church.
