I’m at a retreat this weekend so this one will be short but still very much worth sharing. When I typed the date in the title, I automatically typed the year that our youngest daughter was born because TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY!
I’m going to share with you a picture of our mercy-filled, mercy-giving, makes you laugh ’til you cry, random storyteller, loves life, loves God, loves people kiddo. She is the caboose to our family train, our last but not least, the icing on the cake and the cherry on top of that. She completed our family of 5 with the perfect amount of flair. She’s our crazy, loud, dancing, creative, always has a song to sing kiddo. Happy birthday, Anna! I love you more than you can imagine. Your birthday is one of my most favorite stories of all time.
Tonight we’re taking her to dinner. Last year it was Tapas this year she requested Peking Duck. The first time we had Peking Duck was in China, the real deal, so we’re hoping for a good experience. This girl who pretty much lived on chicken nuggets and french fries for the beginning of her life is one of our most adventurous eaters. (There’s hope mama’s!) She loves good food and she has expensive taste buds. We got her some gifts too but this is posting before we will give them to her so you’ll just have to trust me when I tell you they’re good and she’s going to love them.
