Where God Leads He Will Provide

Where God Leads He Will Provide

I’m currently reading a book and going through the online bible study, Come With Me, by Suzanne Eller. I’m not very far into the book but these two questions captured me and I’ve been camping out on it for a while.

“Have you ever had someone ask you to do something that makes no sense in the natural? What do you do if that request comes from Jesus?” Come with Me, Suzanne Eller

We Needed to Sit On the Sidewalk For a Bit to Rest

We don’t have time to stop right now. We need to keep the pace. There’s so much to do and so little time to do it in. But the sidewalk’s edge was so inviting. It compelled us to stall our pace even if for a moment. “We’re just going to sit right here for a bit,” we said. “It will be good for us,” we said. And it was.

People of the World: A Collection of Stories

I used to have a coin collection. I’m sure it got sold in a garage sale. One could argue that I collect candles. Some would say I collect shoes. I would definitely add music to the list. Let’s just say that iTunes loves me. I collect jewelry. Not really anything valuable but I do have a lot of pieces with meaning. We Sat On the Front Row

“Must be on the front row!”  My husband has said that phrase often over the years. He usually says it when someone is hogging the highway or he feels entitled in some way. It actually comes from a Bob Uecker/Miller Lite commercial. Haha! Probably a bit strange to use a beer commercial for an inspirational blog post, huh?

4 Things You Need To Say “ummm… no” To This Easter

4 Things You Need To Say “ummm… no” To This Easter

I’m trying to stay away from sugar so, this Easter, I’m saying a big “UMMM… NO” to my favorite Easter treat, yummy milk chocolate with the rich, gooey center Cadbury Cream Eggs. I’m drooling just thinking about them. But I’m giving a hearty “YES” to this Traditional Irish Lamb recipe for Easter Sunday.

My Passport Beckons

My Passport Beckons

My first big adventure in life, that I remember anyway, began a few months after I turned 7. I vividly recall my small-framed, blonde-haired self as the spotlight of my family’s entertainment. My parents and I stood in the middle of our kitchen floor but it might as well have been a circus tent with me standing center ring. We were moving to Brazil and I had to get that diamond-shaped red pill down. That little pill would protect my stomach from parasites. It was important but my throat sure didn’t think so. It did not go down without drama.
