I do this Saturday Share post each week (mostly) and I think all week long about what the focus should be for my part. For the link up, it’s a big ol’ free for all. My own personal “Please tell me what I missed!” type of thing. Throughout my week, as I read through blogs, watch videos and find what interests me, typically a stream of thought bubbles up and I go that route. But this week, I’m coming up flat. So this week’s focus? None. There is no focus. My brain and my heart are literally all over the map right now. Some days are just like that.

I spend a lot of time on my computer. It’s not uncommon to have more tabs open in my browser than will actually fit on my screen. At this very moment I have 10 open. If that’s not proof of a control issue, I’m not sure what is. Some of them are ones I want to come back to and read, some are ones I am using for some purpose and don’t want to have to go track them down again and some are my email, facebook, calendar and such that stay up almost all of the time.
As I thought about how to make this post about a story or into a story, because that’s what this blog is all about, I thought I’d just tell the story of my week in links and share a few links from this week that have been a part of my story or helped me along in it. This week hasn’t been an easy one. We all have those, I know, but this one for me has been one that prompted me to actually look on Amazon to see how much punching bags cost. They’re really not as pricey as I thought they would be. 🙂

2. I bought this album this week. For my grandson… uh huh… really. Slugs & Bugs & Lullabies. it’s SO good. There are several in the Slugs series and I’ll be purchasing them all, for my grandson of course, over time. Gotta pace myself.
3. Next Wednesday I leave for the She Speaks conference. I started this blog a few weeks before this conference opportunity was presented to me (a friend emailed me and said YOU HAVE TO GO!). I signed up and I can’t wait to get there. I’m sure it will be like drinking from a fire hydrant and my writing hand will be worn out by the end but I’m confident that it will make this blog better and make me a better writer. But even if not, I get to hang out with my friend, Lizanne, finally meet some For the Love book launch team friends in person!!, and even see another friend, Suzanne, and finally meet their three adopted kiddos. I know I haven’t been to the conference yet but so many friends have gone and have nothing but awesomeness to say about it. If you ever decide to go, sign up early. it fills up very quickly!

5. Last but CERTAINLY not least, my daughter in love is a photographer and just launched her amazing website this week. Being creative and following her dreams is part of Kadi’s story. I’m so proud of her for all of the hard work she has put into this. I know God will bless her efforts. If you know anyone in the Lubbock/West Texas area (or the Houston or Dallas areas, cause I’m sure we could talk her into visiting family) who needs a photographer, make sure you save this link! Kadi Dawn Photography. I have to add here what our son said about her launch on FaceBook. I love that boy. He is so supportive of her creativity and she really is so very creative and talented. “My beautiful, creative, hard working, generous, compassionate, androck-solidwife has officially launched her new website for her photography page! Creativity is her lifestyle and I love that she gets to share that with everyone now.” And everyone said a collective, “awwwww”.
