If you count all three of our kids, preschool-high school, I have done the back to school routine 40 times over a span of 21 years. We’ve chartered public schools, home school and international schools. This seasoned, back to school doing mom has a few tips under her belt.
This one is quickly headed to the high school finish line. She only has two years left and I’m already thinking of all the ways I could try to keep her.
We often shortchange ourselves. We think we’re “just this” or “just that”. I’m “just a SAHM” or I’m “just packing a lunch”.
Do you recall the story of when Jesus and His disciples fed the 5000 with two small fish and five small loaves of bread? Have you ever thought about where that small meal originated?
My mind wanders to the morning when “just a SAHM” packed her son’s lunch. I wonder if she realized she was packing a miracle. My guess is, probably not.
